​Cottage Details:

• Little Briar: 7-night stays starting on Fridays.
• ​Briar Steading: 7-night stays starting on Saturdays.

Short Breaks in The Trossachs:
Available for 4-6 nights between January-March and November-January (excluding festive season).

• Short breaks are 60-90% of the weekly tariff.
• ​If available during peak season, short breaks will be flagged in yellow.
• For Christmas and New Year week: 

               4-5 nights: 80% of the weekly tariff.
​               6 nights: 90% of the weekly tariff.

• Request a quote for short breaks.

Thank You for Your Interest in Briar Cottages:

Prices are per cottage, for a maximum of 4 guests (plus a baby) in Briar Steading and 3 guests in Little Briar. Prices are quoted in 7-night price bands.

• Briar Steading: Weeks start on Saturdays.
• Little Briar: Weeks start on Fridays.

Both cottages can be booked together if available.

Short Break Tariffs:

• Up to 3 nights: 60% of the weekly tariff.
• 4 nights: 70% of the weekly tariff.
• 5 nights: 80% of the weekly tariff.
• 6 nights: 90% of the weekly tariff.

Pets:

• 1-2 pets are welcome in Little Briar, with a charge of £25 each.

Initial Enquiries:
Please send your initial enquiries using the form below.

Ready to Book?

​BACS Payment:
If you prefer to pay via a UK bank account, send us an email with your contact address details and the requested dates. We will email you our BACS details for online transfer booking.

Need Help?
If you need clarification on any booking details, please do not hesitate to email or telephone us. Note: We do not accept PayPal, foreign cheques, or third-party transfers. Please see other terms.

Payment and Confirmation:
Dates can only be confirmed once a payment is made. Booking confirmation, along with information on arrival, local shops and restaurants, and other details will be emailed to you once your preferred dates have been secured with either a 20% down payment or full payment if the holiday starts within 8 weeks.

Booking via Airbnb:
We prefer direct bookings though it may be convenient for some guests to book Briar Steading Lochearnhead via Airbnb. Be aware that Airbnb services incur additional fees, so the total cost may differ from what you see here. Your contract will be with Airbnb, and we will not have direct access to your contact details until you have paid them in full.

Bookings via Holiday Lettings/TripAdvisor:
Holiday Lettings/TripAdvisor no longer work with holiday letting owners as of October 2024. TripAdvisor does still offer a review service. We accept bookings direct for either cottage or via Airbnb for Briar Steading.

Holiday Insurance:
​Consider holiday insurance for your UK holiday. While it’s common to travel abroad with insurance, many UK residents overlook it for domestic holidays. Though our cancellation terms are fair, UK holiday insurance is a small price to pay in case of cancellation when re-letting the dates isn't possible.

Trust:
Book direct with us to save on agent fees. We have been operating Briar Cottages since 2008, attracting regular guests. You will find reviews about us (Kim and Fraser Proven) and both cottages across multiple review sites. We are members of the Association of Self Caterers Scotland and the Federation of Small Businesses, validating our credibility through industry professionals. Both cottages are licensed to operate as short let holidays by Stirling Council
